Which Atlas Trek Should You Choose? Five Routes Compared

Start with the kind of walking holiday you want, rather than choosing only by duration. Hiking to Atlas has four three-day programmes and one six-day itinerary. Each includes meals, overnight arrangements and return transport from Marrakech, but the route and the nights differ.

For village paths or a waterfall

The Tamatert Trek combines Atlas village paths with guesthouse nights over three days. Ask the team for the final sequence of villages before booking. The Agouliden Waterfall & Tamsoult Trek follows Imlil, Id Aissa, Tamsoult and the waterfall, with two nights in a mid-trek shelter.

For a Toubkal summit objective

The three-day Toubkal Summit Trek begins with a guesthouse night in Imlil before the approach to the refuge and the summit programme. The six-day Ifni Lake & Toubkal Trek takes a different route: Tacheddirt, Assif n’Ouarai, Amsouzart, Ifni Lake and Tizi Ouanoums, before the refuge and the final summit day. Discuss your walking experience and the stage plan with our team.

For a village night and time beside a lake

The Amsouzart Lake Trek has a first night in Amsouzart village, a second night by the lake and a return on day three. Confirm the exact lake location with the team. When requesting any programme, send your dates, number of travellers and accommodation preferences. Read the detailed page first so your request refers to the right route.
